Timelapse and hyperlapse production in New York works against one of the most filmed skylines on the planet. Our pros know the difference between a Manhattan establisher worth shooting twice and one that adds nothing to the cut. Our crews run weatherproof Sony A7R V, Canon R5, and Nikon Z8 capture rigs with Promote Control intervalometers, plus eMotimo Spectrum and Syrp Genie II motion-control sliders. Each rig uses a dedicated holy-grail exposure-ramping workflow, tuned for the dramatic dawn-to-dusk transitions over Lower Manhattan, the Hudson Yards skyline, and the Brooklyn waterfront.

Long installations have sharpened how we work. Jobs across Hudson Yards construction phases, the Penn Station rebuild, the Second Avenue Subway extension, and ongoing Brooklyn Navy Yard development refined our solar-plus-mains hybrid power chains. We handle the access in advance. That covers MOME film permits, NYC Parks rooftop access agreements, NYPD Movie & TV Unit clearances, and building-owner releases for Top of the Rock, Empire State, One World Observatory, and Brooklyn Bridge Park vantage points. We also arrange FDNY safety officer cover where the rig sits on a public roof.

Productions brief us on all kinds of shots, and each one gets a logged capture plan rather than a generic gear list. Those briefs span a Times Square crowd-flow holy-grail sequence, a Brooklyn Bridge traffic pull at golden hour, a Manhattan-from-Jersey-City skyline transition, a Central Park canopy seasonal-change record, a DUMBO sunrise establisher, or a year-long construction-progress installation on the Hudson Yards extension. Our coordinators calculate interval timing against the output frame rates you need. They plan deflicker workflows through LRTimelapse and Adobe After Effects, build storage and data chains around solid-state and Atomos recorders, and book weekly upkeep visits for long installations.

Hyperlapse sequences run along Fifth Avenue, the High Line, the Brooklyn Bridge promenade, and the Williamsburg waterfront. Each blends handheld stabilised capture with motion-control sliders for traveling, time-compressed pulls. Final delivery covers 4K through 8K, finished in ProRes, DNxHR, or H.265 at any frame rate from 24p to 60p. We grade the color against Rec.709, P3-D65, or HDR Rec.2020 as the TV networks or platform need. We also prepare NYS Film Tax Credit forms wherever the production qualifies, all under one lined-up contract.
