Multi-Camera Setups
Professional live event coverage and multi-camera production across New York.
Multi-camera setups deploy two or more cameras simultaneously to capture comprehensive coverage of scenes, events, or performances. From concerts at Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center to live broadcasts from Times Square and award shows at Radio City, this approach maximizes shooting efficiency, preserves performance continuity, and provides editors with multiple angles from each take.
We coordinate multi-camera configurations with matched camera bodies, synchronized settings, and integrated monitoring systems across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. Our team works alongside the broadcast infrastructure connected to Steiner Studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Silvercup Studios, and Kaufman Astoria — supporting NYC's deep network television and live event ecosystem.

Multi-cam coverage from Studio 8H to Yankee Stadium
Here is how the work lines up. New York is the multi-camera capital of American broadcast — the city where NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox and HBO keep primary studio operations, where ESPN runs East Coast multi-cam ops out of Bristol-adjacent NYC bureaus, and where Sky Sports, beIN, DAZN and the major European broadcasters station their US live-event teams.
Our crew configures matched multi-camera packages — Sony HDC-3500 and HDC-5500 system cameras, Grass Valley LDX and Panasonic AK-UC4000 4K studio rigs, paired with Sony FX9, FX6, FX3 and ARRI Amira run-and-gun bodies for ENG and roving positions — across the venues that define NYC live capture: NBC's Studio 8H for Saturday Night Live cold opens and live sketches, 30 Rock studios for Today and Nightly News, ABC's Times Square street studio for Good Morning America, Madison Square Garden for Knicks and Rangers games and major concerts, Barclays Center for Nets and Islanders games, Yankee Stadium for Yankees broadcasts and Citi Field for Mets coverage, Radio City Music Hall for tentpole awards work, Lincoln Center, BAM, the Apollo and the Beacon for cultural live capture, and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Spring Studios, Pier 36 and the Tribeca Film Festival venues for corporate and brand events.
Setups deploy three to fifteen-plus cameras depending on event scale, with skilled vision mixers and broadcast directors switching live on Ross Carbonite and Grass Valley K-Frame desks, EVS XT-VIA replay through dedicated ops, Vizrt and Chyron graphics integration, IMAG to venue LED screens and live program plus ISO recording at 4K ProRes. Transmission blends OB-truck integration from NEP and Game Creek Video — which operate the largest broadcast truck fleet on the US East Coast — with bonded cellular contribution via LiveU and SRT over fibre from Lumen and Verizon networks.
Our team lines up IATSE Local 600 camera, Local 52 grip and electric, Local 695-NY sound and Local 700 video editor coverage alongside NABET-CWA for the network broadcast side, plus Teamsters Local 817 for transportation. We brief productions on NYC live-event protocols — early load-in slots at Madison Square Garden and Barclays, the network booking calendars for Studio 8H and 30 Rock, fashion week pacing at Spring Studios — and align eligible productions with the thirty-per-cent New York State Film Tax Credit and ten-per-cent NYC uplift through MOME.
FAQ
Live Production Expertise
How many cameras can you deploy?
We regularly operate setups from 3 to 12+ cameras depending on event scale. For major concerts at Madison Square Garden or Barclays Center, we can deploy extensive camera packages including specialty positions like jibs, roving cameras, and POV units.
Do you provide live switching and direction?
Yes, our multi-camera packages include experienced vision mixers and directors who switch between cameras in real-time, creating a polished live edit. We can deliver a switched program feed, ISO recordings, or both.
Can you live stream our event?
Yes, we provide complete live streaming services including encoding, CDN delivery, and platform management for YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, or custom platforms. We can also provide satellite uplink for broadcast.
What about IMAG for live audiences?
We provide IMAG (Image Magnification) services for concerts and events, feeding live camera coverage to venue screens so audiences can see close-ups of performers and speakers.
Do you have OB van facilities?
We work with professional OB (Outside Broadcast) vans equipped with switching desks, monitoring, audio mixing, and all necessary infrastructure. NYC hosts the largest fleet of broadcast trucks on the US East Coast.
How far in advance should we book?
For major NYC events, we recommend booking 6-8 weeks ahead given the city's busy schedule and union requirements. Smaller multi-camera shoots can often be arranged with 1-2 weeks notice.
