Here is how the work lines up. New York holds the deepest urban location library on the planet — the result of a century of feature, television and commercial work layered across the five boroughs. Our location scouts come out of the NYC location department tradition that has worked Sidney Lumet's grids, Spike Lee's Brooklyn, Martin Scorsese's Little Italy, Woody Allen's Upper East Side, the Sopranos North Jersey crossover, Mrs. Maisel's Upper West Side, Severance's Long Island City stages, the Marvel Manhattan exteriors and the modern HBO, Netflix, Apple TV+ and Amazon NYC series.

Here is how the picture comes together. Their databases hold checked locations spanning Manhattan icons. Times Square, Wall Street, Grand Central, Penn Station, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, the Plaza, Central Park, the High Line — Brooklyn brownstone blocks across Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Williamsburg, DUMBO, Carroll Gardens and Bay Ridge, Queens different neighbourhoods through Astoria, Long Island City, Flushing, Jackson Heights and Forest Hills, Bronx Grand Concourse and Mott Haven, Staten Island ferry terminals, plus Long Island Hamptons estates, Hudson Valley mansions, the Catskills wilderness and the Adirondack peaks for upstate units.

Here is what we have to work with. In practice the scout makes tech-survey packages with photo and video walkthroughs, GPS lines up, sun-path diagrams, sound-settings notes, parking and basecamp access reports, and permit-pre-clearance records routed to MOME (Made in NY), the NYPD Movie & TV Unit precinct desk, the MTA Movie & TV Unit, NYC Parks, the Central Park Conservancy, the Prospect Park Alliance, the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission and NPS commercial filming for federal sites.

Here is the layout. Drone scouting routes through dual FAA Part 107 plus NYPD permits with 30 days advance lead time and most Manhattan airspace off-limits, so aerial coverage is mapped at the scout stage rather than after lock.

Studio location options at Steiner Studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yard (30 stages on 50 acres), Silvercup in Long Island City, Kaufman Astoria in Queens, York Studios in the Bronx, JC Studios in Brooklyn, Broadway Stages and Wildflower Studios in Astoria are presented alongside the location pages so the production can match stage and exterior in the same package, and the NY State 30% film tax credit plus 10% NYC uplift qualification is flagged on each location with cost notes routed to the line producer's prep budget for Empire State Development PCN tracking.
